Tutorial for Controls

Since the controls are somewhat complicated for this game, the development team decided to write a quick tutorial about them. Get your beak ready to peck some keys! ~:>

As you may already know, this game requires both an X-Box-Like controller and a keyboard to work (hybrid controls). If a game controller is not detected in the setup screen, the player cannot proceed, unfortunately. :(

The idea behind this game is to keep both of the player's hands busy and make him/her press (or peck) a key in his/her keyboard. Long nosed players do better in this one. You can use your elbows too, by the way. Be creative!

So, to avoid making the chicken stumble, the player has to keep the controller in the following state:

This will make the chicken keep going straight, running downhill desperately. If you release one of the L, R buttons or move any of the sticks to the center of the controller, your chicken will stumble. There is a bad, hungry farmer right behind it, and you don't want that to happen.

But then, how can we make the chicken move left and right to avoid those darned obstacles? Well, you have to move the controller sticks in a proper way, like this:

By moving the left stick down and the right stick up, the chicken starts going left. The opposite can be done to make the chicken go right. Remember to keep the L and R buttons pressed all the time, otherwise the chicken will stumble. Be careful not to slide the sticks past the desired position, or you can make the chicken stumble too. Does this freaking bird even know how to walk? Sheesh!

As if it wasn't complicated enough, there are times when you will be asked to press a key on your keyboard (while still holding this **** controller in the non-stumbling state). The game will make a sound and show "PECKING TIME" on screen, and then you will be prompted to type a key. Did I mention that you can also put the keyboard on the floor and use your toes? Well, be creative!

By successfully pecking your keyboard, you can boost your chicken and make it run faster. Don't worry, obstacles stop coming for a short time during the PECKING TIME. Just remember that a higher speed means faster obstacles. Also, these obstacles appear more often the nearest you get from the bottom of the hill. EASY, RIGHT? ~:>

If you have any troubles figuring out the controls, please send us a message. Our goal is to make this tutorial easier to understand, and make it possible for everyone to enjoy our game to the fullest. :)
